intelliVIBEŽ for F1 Challenge 99-02 and the SCC mod!

The new updated F1C ivibe module (v2.1) allows both the original F1C and now the mod SCC to work with ivibe.

Currently you must run F1C or the SCC mod under one of the two EXE names here:

F1 Challenge 99-02.exe
SportsCarChallenge.exe

The path won't matter and the names are not case sensitive, but if your F1C sim runs under a different EXE name, ivibe won't be able to hook to it. In the meantime we're looking at a solution that will let you easily identify all the mod EXE's for your F1C installation so ivibe can determine which one you are running to find the process and inject intelliVIBE support.

Please post any other EXE names for known mods and I'll add them to the list of supported known mods right away.

In the meantime we're at work on the solution that lets you specify the EXE name more easily.

More info coming soon!

CTDP.exe - Thier F1 mods are top notch stuff Craig . Very detailed , much more than RH04 graphics wise , alot of people shy away from them since they are so PC hungry , but still , good stuff and worth the mention here .

The 1975 mod . I'm not sure what exe name they will be using , but I will find out asap and let you know . This is perhaps the most anticipated F1C mod ever . Simply gorgeous .

Re: intelliVIBEŽ for F1 Challenge 99-02 and the SCC mod!

The mods really do change things! I just updated again to ivibe_F1C v2.2 because i needed to increase the RPM ranges to allow for much different engines. I tried to limit the ranges to what were healthy for F1 cars, but I am now driving the SCC mod Corvette and the RPM ranges were not sufficient.

So we're at 2.2, soon to be 2.3 once we fix the file browse such that you can manually add known EXEs to the list of EXEs that we can inject ivibe into.

Thanks for your patience today. I'll try those other mods to be sure we work.

Also, for a simple way to boost vibe strength across the board, up your speed value from 32% to 40%.

Go hang with the kids, I'll still be here when you get back!

Thanks again... more coming your way soon!

Re: intelliVIBEŽ for F1 Challenge 99-02 and the SCC mod!

Well at the moment we'll try to automate this in some way so we know in advance which EXEs are ivibe_F1C compatible. Thanks for your help! Hopefully we'll have an easy solution soon.

It may take the form of a file called "ivibe_F1C.mod" that we can add to the auto-update form. The problem with that is that it would require me to install every mod that's out there to verify compatability before adding the EXE to the list, so maybe we'll let the mod users add the EXE to the list, and if they say it works, then we can add it to the "official" .mod file here and it would auto-update?

It's a tricky thing to manage, but we'll crack this last nut and let the F1C mod community take on it's own mod acceptance in the easiest way possible.

I hope to have a new TFS CP out within the next 24 hours with a few new features, including the ability to set the last loaded file to resume at startup, or for you to set a known start-up default file to load. Among a few other fixes.

Then hopefully I can undertake to get the remote TCP/IP ivibe working over then LAN so you can use a 2nd low-powered PC to run the TFS2 and the TFS CP from it, and then you can use the TFS CP full screen with access to all the ivibe settings and real time chart without having to co-exist on the main gaming PC. But it may be too much to hope for in the short term because I am going to code up ivibe for the main flight sims next.

But, it's all in the mix!!!

You've been a great help gettting F1C together and working with the mods.

Also GPL will enjoy the same fixes that we do for F1C, so many people will be set up nicely with the next release.

More info to come soon!
