i-Vibe Manual Released

Everyone,

Now that things have slowed down, I finally had a chance to finish this i-vibe manual.

Remember this is an "unofficial" product manual, but the driving module section and 10% of the flight section is entirely Craig's own words from forum entries. The MSFS text is mine except italic quotes by Craig. There will be some modification to this I'm sure, as somebody will see something that might need correcting, but it should really help the newbies as well as seasoned users, if for nothing more as a refresher for settings you may have made in the past but may have forgotten the logic behind it all.

This came about from document I did for myself. Thoughout that process I realized that there just wasn't any one place you could go for reference other then searching past threads that were sometimes in multiple sections. As such, I decided that the posted material plus my own was enough content to make a manual ......so I did.

I did not bother with a Table of Content because the PDF writer I had was not supporting hyperlinks from Word 2003, so I wasn't able to do the Hyperlinked TOC, but maybe in the future as an addition.

Hopefully this current document will give us a way to improve our current wheels and wings while we wait for those promised future modules.

save it and enjoy

I would just like to say a big thank you.

Your efforts are much appreciated and the manual really goes a long way to extending the use of this product.

Just thought it would be good to recognise the efforts.

Thanks

Re: i-Vibe Manual Released

By now some of you have looked at the iVibe manual. It's really good to hear that it has helped some of you out.

One thing that makes fine-tuning aircraft in the control panel somewhat tedious is having to calculate the speeds and formulas based on KTS or what the specs say from flight simulator. While I have provided in the manual the formulas I used, I still think the process could be streamlined even further.

If you read the manual (or some of it) you will notice that there are 4 pages with calculations that require the ole window's calculator. While KTS to MPH is an easy one, others have at least 3 calculations the need to be done in a certain order and then combined for the end result needed.

To make things easier for myself and all of you, I have created a "Flight Sim TFS Calculator", which will automate this process for you, so when your typing in your speeds and rpms, it automatically displays the results (one you'll have to click calculate to see the results).

Here is a screen shot of the tool and here is a link to download. The application can run multiple instances if for some reason you need two up at a time. Page numbers on the calculator refer to the manual's page where the forumals is that its calculating.

This tool should help streamline the process of creating a custom TFS file for MSFS.

Oqvist,

Maybe this can help you create that Realair Spitfire XIV TFS you've been hoping for.
